The business building, renovated by the architect Axel Schönert, is located in one of the top-quality locations of Paris. The materials and the design match the location in as much as modern and bright rooms in light colours were created forming a perfect contrast to Haussmann’s neo-classical architecture which vitally contributed to shaping the townscape of Paris.
Since there is only little natural light in the foyer it was decided to use architectural lighting as a design element. The visitor is now welcomed by a large illuminated portal which, with a total length of more than ten meters, extends from one of the sidewalls over the ceiling in an L-shape. Also the lifts on the ground floor and first floor are integrated into a large illuminated wall. This way an illuminated surface with a height of three meters and a total width of more than four meters was created. There is another illuminated area with a length of four meters between the two floors. The luminous colour of the LEDs corresponds to the daylight, the light intensity can be varied by means of dimmers.
